The producer

Who are they?

Based in the Eastern Townships, in the heart of the Massawippi Valley, Domaine Bergeville works in a viticultural environment shaped by the contrasts of Quebec’s climate. The estate mainly cultivates hybrid grape varieties suited to this northern reality and seeks to translate that identity into the glass.

The vineyard is managed according to organic and biodynamic practices, with particular attention paid to biodiversity and soil life. In the cellar, bubbles occupy a central place: traditional method, refermentation on lees and extended aging allow the estate to explore different expressions of freshness, texture and precision.

Their approach

What sets them apart.

01

Cultivating northern character

Climate, altitude and grape varieties adapted to Quebec are not treated as constraints to be erased, but as elements of a viticultural identity to be expressed.

02

A living vineyard

Organic and biodynamic viticulture places soil health, biodiversity and the vineyard’s balance at the heart of the work.

03

Quebec in bubbles

Bergeville focuses especially on sparkling wines, from the traditional method to refermentation on lees, to highlight natural freshness and acidity.

Why we follow them.

Because Bergeville isn’t trying to make Quebec wine like anywhere else. The estate works with its climate, its grape varieties and its territory to build a distinct identity — particularly convincing when it takes the form of bubbles.
