The estate

The story of Domaine Vineterra begins in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, on a family farm where wheat and corn were previously grown. In 2016, René-Carl and Isabelle planted the first vines there with the desire to diversify the farm and give a new place to their passion for wine.

Today, the estate continues to evolve with the next generation of the family. In the vineyards as in the cellar, the goal remains simple. Make carefully crafted, accessible wines designed to be enjoyed when opened, while inviting people to come discover the vineyard and its territory.

Four things to know.

01

A family farming story

Before the vines, the land was used for field crops. The first plantings arrived in 2016 and opened a new chapter for the family farm.

02

A Montérégie terroir

In Mont-Saint-Hilaire, the vines benefit from a warm sector of the Montérégie, soils shaped by the ancient Champlain Sea and a landscape where the wind also plays its part.

03

A measured approach

In the cellar, the estate seeks to guide the wine without altering it. Stainless-steel tanks, French oak barrels and a concrete egg are among the tools used depending on the cuvée.

04

In the vineyard

Chardonnay · Riesling · Pinot noir · Gamay · Vidal · Acadie blanc
