Who are they?
Founded in 1980 in Dunham, Domaine des Côtes d’Ardoise is considered the oldest vineyard still in operation in Quebec. Its first plantings included Gamay, Riesling, Maréchal Foch and Seyval blanc. Today, the estate has about 70,000 vines on 13.5 hectares and produces a range that goes from whites and reds to sparkling and sweet wines. The vineyard has been fully organic since 2021. The visit is also worth it for the place: the vines host the Nature & Création outdoor exhibition, where sculptures punctuate the estate’s trails.
