Who are they?
Pieropan's story begins in Soave in 1901, when Leonildo Pieropan acquired the family estate of Calvarino. From the 1960s, his grandson Leonildo profoundly transformed the house, emphasizing vineyard identity and the link between grape, soil and place. This vision gave rise to Calvarino in 1971, then to La Rocca in 1978, two cuvées that became emblematic of Soave. Today Andrea and Dario Pieropan represent the fourth generation. Garganega remains at the heart of the estate, accompanied notably by Trebbiano di Soave, in wines that can be fresh, mineral, textured and age-worthy.

Vineyards first
Pieropan was one of the pioneering houses to highlight the identity of specific Soave parcels, letting differences in soil and exposure guide the style of the wines.
Two faces of Soave
Calvarino sits on volcanic soils rich in basalt, while La Rocca expresses limestone soils of marine origin: two terroirs that showcase the diversity of Garganega.
Organic viticulture
After abandoning chemical weed control in 2002, Pieropan began converting its entire production to organic viticulture starting in 2008.

The new Leonildo Pieropan cellar in Soave welcomes visitors for tours and tastings. A wine shop is also available on site. Reservations are recommended for organized visits.
