The producer
Who are they?
Pinard et Filles has been growing vines in Quebec since 2011. The estate now works with 24 grape varieties across about 7.5 hectares, mainly on the west shore of Lake Memphremagog, in Estrie, as well as at a second site in Lanaudière. Their work aims less to impose a style than to follow what each vintage gives them. Hybrid and vinifera varieties sit side by side, cuvées change with the seasons and experimentation is an integral part of the estate's identity. This freedom does not prevent a clear line: letting the fruit, the place and Quebec's climate speak with as little intervention as possible. The result is a very personal, often surprising range that fully contributes to the new identity of Quebec wine.

In the vineyard
Vineyard work is done by hand and sustainably, with particular attention to expressing the climate and the different sites.
In the cellar
Fermentations start spontaneously, without inoculation or additives. The wines are generally bottled without fining or filtration and with very little or no added sulphur.
The playground
The estate works with a wide diversity of grape varieties, hybrids and vinifera alike, across very different Quebec terroirs between Estrie and Lanaudière.

Because they show that Quebec wine doesn't need to imitate elsewhere to be exciting. At Pinard et Filles, curiosity, northern grape varieties and very low-intervention winemaking produce bottles with real personality.

Good to know
The estate is not open to the public and it is not possible to visit for regular tastings or tours. The wines are distributed mainly through restaurants, selected grocery stores and some specialized networks.
